Personal Bankers of Little Rock: Dewanna Fleming

Dewanna Fleming was always a Little Rock girl, having been born and raised right here. She graduated from McClellan High School in 1979. After graduating, Dewanna fell in love, got married, and had a son, Chris in 1980. Wanting to spend more time with her husband and son, Dewanna began her banking career in 1981 at Savers Federal Saving and Loan. Her second son, Brad, was born in 1984 and life was good for the growing family. In 1991 Dewanna and her husband moved to Searcy to raise their sons.

Some years later, and very tragically, Dewanna’s husband became ill. And after an eight year fight with heart disease, he passed away in 2006.

Moving on with life, in 2008, Dewanna joined Bank of Little Rock as Compliance Officer and began commuting from Searcy. After five months of commuting back and forth, Dewanna moved to Little Rock for convenience and to be closer to family members. In August 2011 Dewanna met Tim Fleming, fell in love, and the two got married in Nov 2012.

Today, her oldest son Chris lives and works in Conway.  Her younger son, Brad, along with his wife, Abby, live and work in Minneapolis. Dewanna says the two of them get to enjoy great adventures together since moving to the mid-west!

At Bank of Little Rock, Dewanna’s main focus is to review all loans, to ensure they are in compliance with both state and federal regulations. She wishes she had more opportunity to spend time directly with customers but also realizes the importance of what she does for the Bank’s customers. She also very much appreciates her associates at the Bank and the culture that encourages everyone to help as needs arise.
Dewanna loves the simple things in life – reading, spending time relaxing with her husband by their pool, and in Colorado, hiking trails and seeing the beauty that God has created.

Her favorite thing about work is the small–bank feeling provided by Bank of Little Rock and how the Bank believes in the importance of expressing appreciation to customers, making them feel like family, too “It’s a great place to work,” Dewanna says, and she hopes you have the chance to see and feel that for yourself.

When you take out a loan at Bank of Little Rock, just know that you’re in good hands!
